Virtual Wizard School

Kids 8-12 years old can enroll in a “virtual” school of STEAM inspired wizardry. Pupils will discover electric circuits through the building of a light up wand, attend potions class focusing on kitchen chemistry, craft a monster notebook and learn a spell for levitation involving static electricity.
Distance learning kits will allow participants to complete activities at home with all the supplies they would need. Class will meet on Zoom Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. during February School Vacation week. Since this program is grant funded, participants must be able to attend all three days. Space is very limited.  Registration will open on Monday, February 1st.  Please call the library at 508-946-2470 to sign up.  Kits will need to be picked up from the library by Saturday, February 13th.

This program is made possible through the CARES Act funding to Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Additional support is provided by the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library.
