Public Computer Use


  • You must use your own library card when logging on to any library computer.


Library Public Computers

  • The Library provides public computers for internet access, word processing, internet-based email, reference, educational purposes, and more. Computers are available in the Main Library, Children's Library, and Genealogy Room.
    • You must have your SAILS library card in your possession in order to use a Library computer. No exceptions will be made, except that visitors from outside the SAILS region may obtain a guest pass at the main desk (provided that they are over 18 or accompanied by a parent or guardian).
    • Computers may be used for up to 240 minutes per day. Patrons requiring additional time for online testing or a similar purpose may be granted additional time at the discretion of the Librarian.
    • There is no charge for computer use, however, printouts from all library computers cost 10¢ per page for black and white; 50¢ for color.
    • Public computers are for use by one person ONLY. Persons wishing to share a computer must obtain permission in advance from the main desk. Users sharing a computer or laptop must both be older than 18, have internet permission, or be a child accompanied by a parent or guardian.
    • Computers MUST be used in accordance with the Library Computer Acceptable Use Policy and applicable Federal and State laws.
