  • The Library and the Middleboro Historical Association (MHA) are teaming up to bring you a special event celebrating a new book recently published on Lavinia Warren, Middleboro's favorite home-town celebrity.

    Join Author Elizabeth Raum will be here on to discuss her new book, "The Big, Bold, Adventurous Life of Lavinia Warren.", and explain how she came to write about Lavinia Warren, one of P. T. Barnum's most famous entertainers. Raum will share what she learned about this adventurous little woman and how Lavinia's wedding to Tom Thumb became headline news around the country.

  • Middleborough Public Library patrons may now access Consumer Reports Online for free -- from the Library, from home, or anywhere else with an internet connection. Simply follow the link provided, enter your library card number (found below the barcode on your library card), and then click on Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports is a nonprofit organization providing unbiased product ratings and reviews, putting over 5000 products through rigorous testing each year. Once you're logged on, you can browse various categories on the left hand side of the screen or do a search at the top of the page.
