"The Highway Men": Songs and Stories

Join us for a performance by singer/songwriter Matt York who'll perform songs and tell stories about the four country music icons known as the Highwaymen -- Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jennings.

Recently nominated for the 2022 Boston Music Award for "Best Country Artist," Matt lives on the South Shore and has traveled extensively through the years performing his songs.  In 2019, his album Bruisable Heart was named one of the Boston Globe's top albums. Matt grew up in Foxboro and began playing the clubs of Boston as a teenager.

The Boston Herald said of Matt's album Boston, Texas that ”the singer-songwriter uses basic building blocks — Buddy Holly’s chords, Hank Williams’ swagger, Steve Earle’s boozy wisdom, Paul Westerberg’s straight-up-drunk wisdom — to construct an album of beauty, optimism and heartbreak."

No registration is required.
