FULL: Eyes on Owls at the Town Hall

As of 4/19/23 at noon, all our tickets have been given out for this event and it is at capacity.

Join Marcia and Mark Wilson from Eyes On Owls as they present their live owl program, Owls Up Close.

This unique presentation has been a library favorite for decades! For young audiences, the show starts with an interactive reading of a big book version of “Owl Babies”. The magic begins when all are entranced in seeing each of 6 live owls up close.  Everyone gets to practice the owls’ calls during lively hooting lessons!  The Wilsons highlight the owls’ unique adaptations, habitats and behaviors in the wild, while sharing tips on how you can find signs of owls around you. Questions are taken once the owls come out. Shows run 45 - 60 minutes.

Attendees may purchase copies of Mark's award-winning book, Owling, and The Snowy Owl Scientist, signed and personalized by the author, in person after the program or by emailing mailto:eyesonowls@earthlink.net. Each book is available for $20, cash or credit.

The program will take place at the Town Hall, outdoors on the lawn, weather permitting.  In the case of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the Large Ballroom of the Town Hall at 10 Nickerson Ave.  Space is limited.  Tickets for the program will be available beginning Tuesday, April 18th and must be picked up at the Library.

This program is generously supported by the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library.
